Dear Friends of the Bronxville Scout Committee,
This year, more than ever, the Bronxville Scout Cabin has lived up to its mission: giving young people in Lower Westchester a place to grow, lead, serve, and discover their best selves.
From Yonkers to Larchmont, from Mount Vernon to the Bronx, our Scouts have logged hundreds of service hours, earned merit badges by the handful, hiked, camped, trained, advanced, and become Eagle Scouts. Week after week, the Cabin has been the heart of it all – a home where future leaders of America are being shaped.
And that is why we’re writing to you today. Because this Cabin matters. To our Scouts. To our community. And to all of us who believe in what Scouting gives our youth.
As many of you know, our decades-long effort to secure permanent rights to our Cabin took another turn this year. We pursued every legal avenue available to us, including appeal – and while the courts were not on our side, our commitment to the Cabin has never been stronger.
We now move to the next chapter: working directly with County Executive Ken Jenkins, himself a former Scout, to establish a long-term agreement that finally protects the Cabin for future generations.
If you have a relationship with Ken – or are willing to reach out – your voice could make a meaningful difference. He can be contacted at [email protected] or by mail at the Michaelian Office Building, 148 Martine Avenue, White Plains, NY 10601.
While we continue these discussions, the day-to-day work of Scouting continues, and so does the work of maintaining and improving the Cabin that makes this all possible.
The Cabin requires ongoing care, repairs, and upgrades to stay safe, warm, and open to every Scout who walks through its doors. These costs add up – and you have always been the reason we’ve been able to keep the lights on and the mission strong.
Your tax-deductible contribution ensures that:
For many of you, the Cabin has been part of your personal story – your childhood, your children’s growth, or your commitment to youth development. Together, we can protect this legacy.

We will gladly notify both families of your generosity.
On behalf of the Bronxville Scout Committee, thank you for standing with us – through the challenges, the victories, and the mission we all believe in. Your support strengthens our resolve and ensures that Scouting remains a guiding force in the lives of young people across Lower Westchester.
Yours in Scouting,
The Bronxville Scout Committee
P.S. Every gift – whether $100, $500, or more – directly protects the Cabin and keeps Scouting strong for hundreds of local youth. If you’ve ever believed in what the Cabin gave you or your family, now is the moment to give back.
